About prices

The hamster.ca web site is an independent unit and is not linked to the commercial policies of her members-retailers. Our dealers may priced their products differently, according to their own local pricing policies and promotions. 

Personal accounts
Prices posted on this web site are net prices of our current catalogue or promotions (flyers).

Commercial accounts
If you have a commercial account at one of our dealers, ask for a web access code. Once your session opened, you will have access to your own negociated prices at all times on the site.

e-commerce services are not offered by all our dealers.

Mail-in rebate

Mail-in or discount rebates are offered by manufacturers. You can download the mail-in claim forms by clicking the DISCOUNT COUPONS button on the left. Hamster can not extend or modify the conditions specified by the manufacturers.

Opening an account, registering

To place an order on hamster.ca, you must first open a personal or a commercial account.

A personal account is opened immediately after you send the registration form. You will receive an email confirming your account number, user name and password. Keep this information for your future orders. Payment is made online with a credit card.

Commercial accounts are opened within 24-48 hours following the sending of the registration form. Your request will be forwarded to the nearest local Hamster dealer or to our commercial division if your company is located in Montreal. A commercial representative will contact you. Commercial accounts allow, among others, monthly invoicing and better pricing negotiated according to your sales volume.

Placing an order

To place an order, browse the products on the site and add the desired quantities to your shopping cart. The number of items as well as the total of your order are always indicated at the top of the page. Click on the CART icon to view the cart's content or to complete the order.

You can browse the site by clicking on the product category icons at the top or by using the search engine to get a list of the products you are looking for.

Click on the QUICK ORDER button on the left to get a form which enable you to order by entering product codes. If you order products from our printed catalogues or flyers, this is a very useful technique.

Once the order is transmitted, you will immediately receive a confirmation email. Keep it for future reference.

Delivery

Personal accounts
We offer a delivery service almost everywhere in Quebec and in some sectors of Ontario. When registering, you will need to enter your postal code; we will tell you immediately if we are unable to deliver in your area.

Deliver is free for any order of $75 or more, before taxes, otherwise, $7.50 fees will apply. Additional fees may be charged for products exceeding the size or weight standards of our carriers. We will contact you if this situation applies.

In most cases, orders are delivered the next business day. A delivery date is specified when you receive your confirmation email.

Commercial accounts
Your dealer's delivery policies apply. Contact your dealer for information. These policies are posted on the site once you opened a session.

Return of goods

Personal accounts
The merchandise must be returned to the Hamster Distribution Centre (950, Place Paul-Kane, Laval QC H7C 2T2). Log in then complete the return of goods order form (online ebusiness services). You can also contact our customer service at 1 877 597-3261. An authorization number is mandatory.

You can not return an item ordered on the web site to a Hamster store.

Hamster is a network represented by more than 100 independant retailers across Eastern Canada. Our dealers offer commercial and retail sales services. Many of them also offer specialized services or related product lines.

The businesses wanting to order by Internet may contact their local dealer to ask if the service is offered or complete the online form that we will forward to the nearest dealer.
